Runner-Up at USCSA Nationals

We just got back from Black Mountain of Maine and both the men and women came home with second place. Everyone did a great job skiing well and we all had a great trip. We had individual winners in races with Delaney and Whit while Whit was number one overall. Both teams won the sprint day with JT and Sargar coming up huge. Andy N gets my vote for the MVP as he saved the men's team by skiing fast even when others did not.
Some of the highlights of the trip come from seeing the tallest snow woman, having a cook out in the parking lot, and of course the relay finish with the Boot master himself, Matt Delaney. the video of the boot slide can be seen at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GW-8m6UJXHQ

I think we all enjoyed the season and it was a great one! Now we are enjoying this awesome snow that is left. I went out for a nice ski the other day and really enjoyed it, however just like everyone else, I am enjoying some of this extra time I now have. Although I am using this extra time for school work.
So to all of the Clarkson Nordic team, I want to say Thank You Seniors and Coach for all that you have done for us. Between guiding us, helping us, and showing us what NOT to do. You seniors will be missed. You were a huge part of this team! To our fearless speeding coach, You have done so much and we all are very thankful. This has been a great season.
Now to the members who will return next year, the work is not done. We reach some, but I stress some of our goals this year. That is great and it shows we have come a long ways and we can still improve. We need to continue to work harder and harder. I expect a lot from this team just like I do from myself. We are a great group of kids who love to have fun, but we also love to work hard. So set your goals now. It is a perfect time to take a look at the season and figure out what you want to do next year and how you are going to do it. So set the goals from the toilet bowl relays in the pool, not being the first roller ski fall of the season, all the way to being National Champs come this time next year. So I want to thank everyone for this great season! I really enjoyed sharing so much time with all of you. Good luck and enjoy!
